Site Overview & Mission

This site serves 3 purposes.

(1) Yes, it’s marketing tool Lowe Studio Inc where you can find information about our style of work and information about our services. But it’s also designed to (2) provide a way for us provide resource tips and status reports for our existing customers.  Finally, (3) we wanted to use this site as a hub for students and visitors who are interested in the field of graphic design to just come by and check stuff out.

Simple as that.

Blog

The blog on the homepage is a collection of work that inspires me. I don’t believe good design comes from sitting in my own bubble and just doing the same work over and over again. To reach new levels I think any good designer has to look outward at things that might shock or inspire me to do better than I ever did before. I offer you, my reader, a chance to view into my world, if only to grab your attention and get you thinking about the world of design.

Site Design

Credit for building this WordPress-driven website goes out to a talented artist I’ve admired from abroad by the name of Nick La. (I think he’s a brilliant illustrator).

Why didn’t I do this site myself?  Well, frankly I’ve tried a half dozen times over the last 2 years and I can’t seem to please myself. I’m my own worst critic. So my tactic was to listen to my own advice, “Use something that works, rather then wasting time trying to make everything perfect…figure out the rest later”  We wanted a site run using a WordPress CMS and this was the result.  (If you’re a WordPress pro….contact us, I may need you from time to time for other projects!)
