{"id":1429,"date":"2009-04-23T20:42:24","date_gmt":"2009-04-24T06:42:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/raphaellowe.com\/portal\/?p=1429"},"modified":"2009-04-23T20:42:24","modified_gmt":"2009-04-24T06:42:24","slug":"flu","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/raphaellowe.com\/portal\/flu\/","title":{"rendered":"Flu"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The doctor said I have the flu.\u00a0 Nothing I can do about it except to let this virus run its course.\u00a0 Ugh I&#8217;ve never felt this bad in years.\u00a0 There are moments I honestly think killing myself would be a relief I swear.<\/p>\n<p>I picked it up from my boy. EVERYone has been telling me the same thing, &#8220;this is but the first of many flu&#8217;s you&#8217;re going to get up until he passes 3rd grade&#8221;.\u00a0 Great.\u00a0 He&#8217;s going to get sick for 2 days and then pass it on to me where I&#8217;ll get sick for 2 weeks.\u00a0 That&#8217;s just what happened this time around.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s where I&#8217;ve noticed some differences.<\/p>\n<p>The baby gets sick:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Mom &amp; Dad come the rescue, he gets hugs and comfort when he&#8217;s crying &amp; coughing.<\/li>\n<li>He gets fed whenever he&#8217;s hungry.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Daddy gets sick:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Dad gets pushed out to sleep in the living room so that Mom and Baby don&#8217;t get sick<\/li>\n<li>Nobody wants to touch Daddy much less give him any hugs<\/li>\n<li>Daddy still has to feed the <span style=\"text-decoration: line-through;\">enemy<\/span> the baby who made him sick in the first place<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>How sick am I?\u00a0 Let&#8217;s just say my camera arrived yesterday in the mail &#8211; the very object I waited 3 years to pick up saving every scrap I could manage&#8230; right now I could care less about it.\u00a0 I just want my head to clear.\u00a0 UGH<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The doctor said I have the flu.\u00a0 Nothing I can do about it except to let this virus run its course.\u00a0 Ugh I&#8217;ve never felt this bad in years.\u00a0 There are moments I honestly think killing myself would be a relief I swear.
