I can’t stand it when someone is held up at the light or they’re not paying attention to me crossing the street and then you look and see they’re on the phone.\u00a0 UGH! Makes me want to bitch-slap them.<\/p>\n

Not to say I’ve never used a phone in the car. I’ve had my first cell phone since college (back when they were big heavier bricks) and I’ve had my share of driving while talking. Luckily I haven’t had any accidents. Now, I think I’ll have a convenient excuse not to have to pick up my phone in the car anymore.<\/p>\n

I don’t like using my cellphone for another reason lately. I hate my cell phone with a passion right now. 2 years ago I had the option to replace my Palm Treo with the latest and greatest WinMobile phone at the time called the Tilt<\/a>. The iPhone had JUST come out at time but this phone made better sense to me because of the “connections” I had (long story)<\/p>\n

OH how I regret that choice now. This phone sucks worse then a mosquito on a pig farm (huh? my analogies suck too apparently). It’s gotten to the point now I’d hit the receive button on an incoming call and I hear silence….people go straight to voicemail.\u00a0 The physical “A” key on the QWERTY keyboard is stuck (I don’t watch Wheel of Fortune too often but I’m pretty sure the “A” key is pretty important). And just getting to the point where I can find the name of someone I want to contact and dialing the number is an aggrivating exercise in patience because of the severe lag that WinMobile has and the cumbersome interface.<\/p>\n

Now finally as of the end of next month my current 2-year contract ends at AT&T so I have the opportunity to get another subsidized phone. I hate to say it….it might look like I’m getting the iPhone after all. Not that it’s a bad phone, I’ve just always felt adverse to using something that everyone else had. I had big hopes for the Palm Pre but so far the reviews<\/a> seem to still favor the iPhone because of their app library.<\/p>\n

I need my phone to accomplish 3 things:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. I want it to easily accept and dial calls DUH<\/li>\n
  2. I want it to sync calendars with my home computer because I’m constantly making appointments on the road<\/li>\n
  3. I want it to be able to securely hold my hundreds of passwords.<\/li>\n
  4. I forgot a 4th thing…it needs to blare out a loud alarm for me to wake up at 5:50am every morning to take my wife to work or else I’ll sleep through and she’ll be salty for the rest of the day.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
