Who hasn&#8217;t? They might have moved on for whatever reason (e.g., we didn&#8217;t get along as well as we had liked, they found someone less expensive, they didn&#8217;t like my design style, etc.)<\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s fine&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Well, not fine in a sense that I enjoy having client attrition in my business. But fine in a sense that I know some of this type of activity is normal in any business and I&#8217;ve learnt to try to take an objective viewpoint when I see a client leave and try to learn from it.<\/p>\n<p>The only time it REALLY bugs me is when I see an ex-client go to a designer that really sucks. It&#8217;s ok when you get substituted for someone that turns out a good product because then you can rationalize and say, &#8220;Yeah I got my ass kicked on this one&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>But when you end up seeing a website or printed material that is just HORRIBLE, then it just makes the ping that much worse because you really think, &#8220;What might I have done so wrong that made this option better?!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s not a good trait. It&#8217;s a mark of some insecurity I know. But hey, I&#8217;m human.
