I’m in this weird\u00a0mind space\u00a0lately. I feel like life is a bit “boring” lately…just working, taking care of the little one, & your normal routine family life (laundry, groceries, driving, etc.). But at the same time, life has actually been quite hectic. I’ve moved offices at work, setting up for some new classes I’ve been teaching, \u00a0and handling some toddler accidents (and by “accidents” I mean ER scares).<\/p>\n

Now to top that off, my wife decided that it’s time to renovate the house. It’s a long story I won’t get you all involved with, but suffice to say it’s a big ordeal dealing with many visits from contractors, & many trips to Home Depot and Lowes. And we haven’t even started! I’m quickly finding out how amazingly expensive even the smallest detail is. “What!? \u00a0You mean fixing the wheel under our sliding doors will cost us $1000?! Can’t I just spray some WD-40 on it?”<\/p>\n

It’s all so stressful, but after a while you hear all these figures tossed your way day after day it just gets phased out — $14k for windows, $25k for kitchen, $4 thousand for sliding doors, yadda yadda more money yadda. Can we afford it…well, at this point I’ve grown confident enough to think that if my wife says we can handle it, we’ll probably be ok. Happy wife, happy life.<\/p>\n

So while I can say I’m “bored”, it doesn’t necessarily mean I don’t have anything to do. I just need some way of getting past all these concerns and finding some fun back in my life again. (photo by Pysta<\/a>)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
