I know my last posts have been gloomy…hey, I just know how crappy it feels like to have a missing loved one.<\/p>\n

Anyway, just so we don’t lose sight about the fun things in life, let’s talk cameras for a change. You know I’ve been wanting a new DSLR for like 2 years now. Everytime some excuse comes up & I haven’t gotten it yet.<\/p>\n

Now this month a whole new slew of new cameras are coming up for the “serious amatuer \/ semi-pro” market. These are truly droolworthy.<\/p>\n

The Canon 5D, Mark II<\/a>, is a bit out of my league. But it’s interesting how this and the upcoming Nikon D90<\/a> are both going to introduce HD-video shooting capabilities to these cameras. There’s no official review of this feature yet…but imagine shooting your home videos though interchangable high-end lenses?\u00a0 Damn, what reason is left to buy a dedicated camcorder?<\/p>\n

The Canon 50D<\/a> has just been announced too. This was the line of cameras I had been watching. 2 years ago I wanted the 30D, then the 40D came out….I still haven’t gotten that and now the 50D is out. This is a bit like chasing iPod releases, there’s always a better model around the corner.<\/p>\n

But…but…but…. that Nikon camera with the video will be SUHWEEET to take with me to the hospital next year to film the birth of my little guy.\u00a0 (Until I lose myself and faint at the floor of my wife’s bed once I see the bodily fluids start spurting and the real-life reenactment of Alien<\/em> happens in front of me *hissss*)<\/p>\n

UGH! I can’t decide which camera!<\/p>\n

This camera addiction is crazy. Stay away people….<\/p>\n
