I’ll have to spend my entire Friday writing about 4 proposals all day long. Not that I’m complaining, no sirree. Proposals means there’s still business to find out there whether I land them or not, so I’ll gladly sit here all day and pour over the numbers.
When it comes to pricing a project, have you ever wondered how a designer might come up with figures for you when you need something done? A friend of mine pointed out a good article, “Pricing a Project” written up by another designer that is pretty close to the way I handle things as well.
I like how he pointed out the “Graphic Artists Guild” handbook as well. You can’t lose giving that book a looksie over at your local bookstore just to get a feeling for what a good starting point budget might look like.
