Last assignment for the photo class I’ve been taking is to go out and take a night shot. I was looking forward to this because I had long ago wanted to take my camera and tripod down the street to the overpass and try to get these long-exposure freeway shots. I walk over this way sometimes to walk my wife home and I’m always telling myself I’d do it one day.
So here I was with my father in tow, gave him a 2nd camera and we spent about an hour out there taking shots. It was fun. Turns out this overpass didn’t provide the greatest looking vantage point for photo compositions but the light trails are still fun to look at. These were taken around 15 to 20 seconds.
I didn’t get mugged. That’s always a good thing.
