So we started taking Kingston over to a new daycare last week. It’s a long story but there are many advantages to this new daycare….more kids for him to play with, lower cost, and it’s just 2 blocks away.

It’s still taking a while for my boy to acclimate though. Each morning he clings on to me for dear life and cries as I drop him off… now I understand how it feels. It’s incredibly hard walking away from your child and tears and snot runs down his face.

He “made” this Father’s day gift for me last week which is a bunch of scribbles stuck on a tin can. His first art project, “awwwwww”

Father’s day came and went without much hoopla. My family was sick all weekend so we didn’t do much. We postponed any dinners with my own father because of it. I didn’t even get the “sushi dinner” my wife promised for Father’s day (because she was craving sushi).

I guess it’s payback for how we treated my dad….growing up we often celebrated Mother’s day a lot more then we did for dad. I guess that’s dad’s role in life….under-appreciated but always there then you need him.

Thanks Dad. Yup, that’s me with my mom and dad. Look how cool they looked.
