The semester is just about over for this Fall. There have been some very talented individuals who came through my classes this time around… here are some of the best examples below. Part of my joy teaching these classes have been the fact that sometimes my own students inspire me!

Illustrator

This is typically the first project of the semester where I ask the students to do some sort of Fantasy Meal subject. What makes some of these results even more impressive is the fact many of these students come up with this results without having any previous art experience not to mention Illustrator work.

Photoshop

The next project was a crash course in Photoshop. Here we had them do a pretend movie poster with a made-up synopsis. There is a tendency for students to source some of their work here from copyrighted material despite the fact we discourage them not to. If it just so happens you spot your own original work used in these examples, let me know and I’ll take these down or give you a link back to your original work…this material is mainly used to evaluate how well the students understand Photoshop before heading into the design program.

Our last project to be completed this week is a one-minute long Flash animation. From what I can see thus far, is that there are some exciting results coming from some other individuals as well. Provided they can FINISH it on time! I got my fingers crossed.
