Loaded Gun
Miss Buddha – Loaded Gun from Kevin Andreshak on Vimeo. Here’s the first video we’ve shot for our band Miss Buddha. It’s a bit of an experiment for the guys down at the media center down at KCC to see how ready they would be to do projects like these…so the lighting and video style was completely on the cuff. I like how it turned out though, a good raw feeling to it. Hope ya likes it!

World’s smallest hamburger? At a risk of sounding very effeminate, that’s gotta be the most adorable looking hamburger I’ve ever seen. I like the little puff of smoke coming off of the grill too! The little oil spots, the tiny sesame’s…OH, my head will explode from the cuteness. How would you order a “Super-sized” mini hamburger meal though? This was found on DarkRoastedBlend’s collection of Food Art. Now I’m craving a good burger today….Kua Aina’s here I...

Beautiful artwork by an artist named Joshua Petker. I really like the colors and expressions he has for his subjects. I guess why it has this particular flavor is because of his graffiti art background. I’d hang some of these up on my walls… Pffft, I’m all talk though, 4 months here in my new place and we’ve yet to hang anything up yet. I gotta start decorating this place.

I really underestimated how uncomfortable it would be after a surgery. No, the cuts and stuff I expected…but after my ear surgery the doc jams a cotton swab (feels like it’s the size of a giant rubber tire) into my ear canal where I have to wear it for a few days until he takes it out later this week. I don’t know if it was the procedure or this thing in my ear, but my neck has been tense for days and I have difficulty opening my mouth more then an inch to eat anything. Meanwhile I only just developed enough guts to look at...

Day after surgery….not too bad. I’m up and about but I got this huge Frankenstein gauze around my head and a blue cup covering my ear. This would have made a fantastic Halloween costume last week. The surgery itself was still pretty freaky. It got pretty serious for me when they had me in those smock things with the blue booties & started plugging needles and IVs in my arm. Meanwhile my wife is talking nurse talk with the medical staff walking in to take care of me. Her eyes lighted up with the doc said he might be able to...

I have a little minor ear surgery scheduled for this following Tuesday. I am a little freaked out as anyone would be with the prospect of surgery, but doctors expect it shouldn’t take too long to heal and I’ll have a full recovery. As a result I will be unreachable for a good part of the coming week. I DO have 2 or 3 client commitments I will try my best to jam on this weekend before my surgery. The rest of you, I’ll be fine in a few days I just suspect it’ll be just slightly more uncomfortable getting together for any...

Halloween night (this Friday evening) my band Miss Buddha will be playing at the ArtAfterDark event at the Academy of Arts along with other bands like 86 List. Sounds like they have some kind of punk meets art type thing going on. I’m quite looking forward to this one since I’ve never actually performed at the Academy of Arts before…it’s right down the street from where I live. How CONVEEENIENT! Come down and check us out of you have nowhere to go on Halloween. Costumes optional. (I can’t find one myself). ...

A really interesting article about the original designer of the Major League Baseball logo. I never knew that it was 40 years old! I think it’s a great logo actually…one that still looks good using today’s design trends. Well, maybe today designers would add the Apple-esk shiny reflections on it.

On a lighter note isn’t this image neat? This artist from the Netherlands (Netherlandish?) did a series of self-portraits mimicing the 4 seasons. This would make a hella-cool Halloween costume if I had the patience to sit there for hours gluing grass to my face.

Well, as it turns out one of my eardrums is stuck in position with some kind of negative pressure. The same condition you’d get when you’re sitting on a plane coming in for a landing…you know that stuffiness feeling with some pressure discomfort? Well, that’s what one ear has felt like now for about 2 weeks. Doc says I might need surgery to correct it but for now we’re going to try hydrocortizone ear drops and I have to do a CAT scan and audiogram to see if that reveals more about what’s going on....
