My first foray into designing a mobile phone app has turned out to be pretty successful. At press time, it’s the first official self-published mobile app by the entire Hawai‘i state university system. This isn’t a small claim given the System’s decentralized model for student online services. Content has to be scooped across more than a half-dozen sources and then served in some sort of way that it’s useful and accessible for Kapi‘olani Community College students.
We wanted a design that was clean and clear, functional, and expandable. In the end, while there may be some loose ends that needs adjustments over time, we largely tackled that challenge.
