Took me about 6 evenings of casual building

Took me about 6 evenings of casual building

“What is it with guys and legos?” a colleague of mine asks. I don’t have an answer for that. Suffice to say this is only a recently discovered hobby of mine. I spent a good many years between my intermediate school days all the way through adulthood looking at Lego from afar. I appreciated it, but it was never something that justified the high price for the kits.

My only answer to her question…it’s just something I use to relax me these days. It’s a replacement for the exercise or the music jamming sessions I don’t get to do as much of these days watching a toddler most evenings.

I’ve been eyeballing this 4×4 Technic set for a while. I don’t find Technic sets as awe-inspiring as the standard block Lego sets, but the fact that this particular set involved an actual running vehicle at the end of it convinced me I had to have it.

There were a few “oh wow” moments watching how the pieces added to the structural integrity. But not as much as the standard sets like the R2D2 set.

Finished!

The end result was great. To my son’s delight it actually does a pretty decent job climbing over most objects in the house. Easy enough for a 4 year old to control too!

Now…what set to I set my sights on next?  Oh yeah
