Here are just a few random things to watch out for.

Looks like a couple of events that was mentioned to me.  AIGA has what looks to be a design exhibition coming up soon called Constants Variables from October 6 – 17, 2008.  While also on the 24th of September they have a free presentation about….err…paper.  Yeah doesn’t sound very exciting, but I know I gotta learn a little more about paper stock myself.  I gotta open up my repertoire instead of sticking to the same paper over and over.

There’s also a free event called “Podcamp” coming up on October 24-25 at the Convention center for anyone interested in audio podcasting or internet blogging. I’ve been asked if I want to be a panelist…I gotta think about it, but it’s certainly worth checking out.

While I’m preparing my pocketbook to be drained buying the new Canon 50D when it comes out next month, Canon revealed their new 5D Mark II camera today that is freakin’ SHUWEEEEET.  Remember how a couple weeks back Nikon made big news for their D90 camera being the first one that can record HD 720p video?  Well, now Canon upped the bar with a camera that can do 1080p HD video.  Of course this sucka is going to be 3x as much in price. But it’s certainly something that will make you stain your underwear.

I’m not completely certain when it’s coming up, but Adobe will be “unveiling” the new Adobe Creative Suite 4 on the 23rd.  This means upgrading your Illustrator, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Bridge, etc etc.  You can sign up to check it out on the 23rd but I’m not certain if that means you can purchase it on that day or not? I guess for those of you who always want the latest in software, start saving you money these upgrades are always expensive.  HEY!  I get educator’s discount now.  *DING!*
