I saw this rolling bridge thing (via: Toxel) covered a few years back on that on that Aussie show “Beyond 2000” (Is it still called that today?  Shouldn’t they call the show like…Beyond 2020 for instance?)

Anyway, I think it’s kind of neat. Practical? Maybe, maybe not, but it’s still cool.  That’s one of the things that’s unfortunate about living in a place like Hawaii.  We don’t get exposed to wonderful amazements like this at all.

We don’t have eco-friendly advanced buildings powered by huge windmills, office firms where you can go floor to floor using giant adult sized slides, rolling bridges, etc.

WTF do we have?  We have beautiful weather, beautiful beach sand, friendlier people (I could build a slide for myself at the beach out of sand. But I think that would chaff)…and a whole lot of politicians who spend 30 years debating on whether or not we even want something as basic as a mass transit rail system.

So so so sad.

While we’re on the subject of policitians folks….I don’t usually like to bring this touchy subject up, especially on my own blog. But this race is too important this time to let it slide.

If you’re among those unhappy with the way things have been going or the way things are now….if you don’t WAKE the hell up, get involved, and go out and vote this time around.  Then you deserve what you have coming.  You’re an idiot. Get the hell out there and push for what you want.

And vote DIFFERENT.  What is that saying?  A moron is someone who does the same thing over and over again and expects different results?  (I’m sure I’m fudging the quote somewhere.). If you go to a restaurant, order a meal and it turns out to suck.  Do you go back and order the same freakin’ thing AGAIN?  UUUUUGH!  Politics lately really gets my blood to boil.

I just want a damn slide to go from my apartment down to my car. That’s what I want.
